A) Books for Crooks was founded in 2005 by Steve Neff. The organization collects donated books and distributes them to prisons throughout Iowa and the surrounding states. New prisons are being added to our roster all the time.

Q) What kind of books do you accept?
A) We accept fair-to-excellent condition books. Fiction, non-fiction, religious, and self-help books are all accepted. But please, no romance novels!

Q) I want my books to go to a certain facility.
We are sorry, we do not send specific books to specific facilities unless those books were requested by the facility itself.
